VIVALDI – Successful completion of external validation (Interlaboratory study) for Salmonella detection

In the VIVALDI project, an important milestone has been reached and an important task has been completed. External validation (Interlaboratory study) of the VETPOD device developed at DTU (Technical University of Denmark) for the detection of Salmonella was successfully completed. The external ring trial was performed at 10 expert laboratories in the European region (Denmark, France, Italy, Germany) and in Ireland. The panel of expert laboratories comprised of both Salmonella National Reference Laboratory and Salmonella accredited private laboratories. The validation results were reported to NordVal International for their assessment, evaluation and final decision.
